WHAT ABOUT LAURA?

Laura got home while she was thinking about her day. It was a rainy and cloudy day of November. As she left the office, she took the bus and ten minutes later, she arrived home. It was a hard day because she had a lot of work and also, she had argued with her boyfriend. She decided to take a bath because she was stressed and she thought that, maybe, the bath could relax her. So, suddenly, she took off her clothes and she left them carefully on a chair. She turned on the tap and when the water was warm and she went inside. She felt more and more tired, but she was feeling good in that moment. The hot water, the smell of the soap,…

It was a bad day but it wasn’t the worst, but, at least, she’s got senses and she’s proud to be how she is. She turned off the tap and she didn’t move for five minutes. As she was getting cold, she stood up, took a towel and five minutes later she was wearing her pair of pyjamas. She didn’t have anything to do but she didn’t want to go to bed anyway because she knew that she couldn’t sleep well.

She sat on the sofa and her cat, Cloud, did the same. She was bored so she turned on the TV. On the first channel “The News” was going on, but the last thing she wanted was to know the bad (and, sometimes good) things that were happening around the world. On the second channel the voice of a character in a soap opera disturbed her. So, she changed the channel once again. On the third channel, she saw an interesting program about animals, and she thought how lucky they were. They don’t have to go to school, like all the children, and they don’t have to work… but at the same time, they can’t love (she imagined) they can’t write things like that. Maybe they won’t understand that the Earth is always moving… and she said that maybe she is lucky and the animals, maybe, are lucky on their own. She fought with herself, her eyes were closing and she didn’t want but… she fell asleep.
